About

I grew up in Auburn, Ca and attended Placer High School. In high school a big part of my life was playing sports. My senior year I was the captain of the soccer and basketball team. After achieving in these sports I was named Male Athlete of the Year.

For my undergraduate education I went to San Jose State University to study Computer Science. My reason for attending San Jose State was that I needed to work during college. Which area had the most tech jobs? San Jose and its surroundings. After being in San Jose for 3 days I found a job at a web design firm.

I am currently a master’s student at San Francisco State University studying Computer Science with an emphasis in Computing for the Life Sciences. I am currently performing research at the Cancer Center at the University of California, San Francisco working under the direction of Dr. Stanislav Volik and Dr. Colin Collins.

I will be starting a Ph.D. in Biological and Medical Informatics at University of California, San Francisco this fall! I can’t wait to get started!

I enjoy playing sports such as soccer, basketball and golf but having time is always an issue. I am definately a sports fan and try to attend sport events such San Jose State Football, Giants and 49ers games.

I also enjoy fishing. On my lastest trip, I went fishing on The Tortuga in Key West, Florida. Unfortunately, I did not catch a fish worth taking home. In 2002, I went deep ocean fishing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I caught a large Wahoo which a friend and I had for dinner at a local restaurant. Lately, I have been fishing from local piers and beaches in the San Francisco Bay Area, my most notable catches are two sand sharks in one day!
